P.S.H.E

Through the teaching of PSHCE, the children of Maldon Court will develop self confidence and self esteem. They will become positive citizens in society and have respect for themselves and others. PSHE and Citizenship help to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active and responsible citizens.

Our most recent inspection report highlighted the school’s outstanding success at promoting the traditional values of kindness, respect and courtesy within a happy and nurturing atmosphere; encouraging social awareness and respect for others and creating confident and happy pupils.

The PSHCE and Citizenship curriculum of work includes the use of Circle Time, investigations and debates. Children may also have the opportunity and the responsibility of being a School Prefect, Form Captain or Playground Buddy as well as being part of the elected School Council.

Maldon Court School makes every effort to support people in the local and wider community. Every year we collect gifts for the Harvest Festival which are distributed to the elderly in Maldon. We raise money for Children in Need, Jeans for Genes Day and our nominated charity, through cake sales, non-uniform days and sponsored swims. We also continue to support a school in Timboni, with whom we have close links writing letters and most recently connecting through Skype.
