Parents Association

The Parents Association at Maldon Court Preparatory School is incredibly active and enthusiastic.  We support Mrs Guest and her staff towards achieving a high standard of extra activities available to all our children.

All profits are used directly to allow events such as the trip to the Christmas Pantomime and the Halloween Party to take place free of charge.

We meet informally every month with our core members of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer with both Headteacher and Teacher representation.  We have achieved significant financial profit through the support and input of committee members and many parents.  These parents dedicate their free time to be involved with events such as the Summer Fetes, Christmas Bazaar, as well as Quiz Nights and Race Nights etc.

We have initiated new events in 2009, starting with a Picnic Day at Sports Day and a BBQ at the Summer Fete.

To enable new parents to feel welcome within the school we host an afternoon tea.  This is an event when we present parents with a starter pack that we have prepared for them.   This gives information on a wide range of subjects which we, as parents, have found useful.  We are always available as an extra point of support to parents and are able to pass on any advice or knowledge.   We take the opinion that all parents are members of the PA and actively encourage participation in our meetings and events.

The PA run and manages the second hand uniform shop within the school.

We continue to grow from strength to strength as an association and all thoroughly enjoy working on the PA with Mrs Coyle and her staff to ensure all of our children benefit from its work.
