At Maldon Court School, we have invested heavily in Information and Communications Technology. All of the Key stage 1 and 2 classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards which are used throughout the curriculum.

We have a state of the art, purpose-built computer suite with 10 computers, together with printers and scanners and a comprehensive selection of software. There is also an interactive whiteboard in the ICT suite that is used by all pupils.  This enables every child in the school to receive dedicated ICT tuition, thus facilitating high quality teaching and learning. ICT is often taken outside of the classroom where the children can use tough cams, digital cameras, roamers, bee-bots and other regularly updated state of the art equipment.

A comprehensive, challenging scheme of work from QCA (The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) is in place to ensure that our children leave Maldon Court Preparatory School with all the essential ICT skills they will need to reach their full potential in secondary education and adult life. In our latest inspection report it was noted that:

‘The development of good information and communication technology (ICT) skills were observed in displays around the school.''

ICT is taught cross curricular in all subjects. The use of the interactive whiteboards greatly facilitate a more cross curricular approach where ICT enhances the teaching and learning.
